Dear Dinosaur Darren & Jurassic Jackie,

Many thanks for coming to the Science Centre at Te Manawa in Palmerston North,
and taking part in our official opening for the new Dinosaur Hunter exhibition . On
the afternoon of the 6th of May 2006 about 200 people came to Te Manawa to join
with us and Dinosaurs Rock in celebrating the opening of our brand new exhibition.
It was a great day and your involvement was absolutely fantastic.

The museum quality and quantity of the pieces you were able to bring with you for display in
the Te Manawa atrium were wonderful. So much for the children to see and learn
about, and what made it even better was that they could get up close and actually
touch many of the objects. From the incredible T.rex footprint to the museum quality
fossil casts of dinosaur skulls, and from the amazing life size Deinonychus Raptor dinosaur
to the latest news on the Chatham Island dinosaur discoveries, it was a truly wonderful collection.

I really enjoyed the use of the Palaeo-artefacts in your talks which really brought the dinosaurs
to life. The talks were full of fun and the children seemed to be glued to your every word! You
have a passion and an enthusiasm for your subject that is communicated to both children
and adults alike.

Thanks also to Danny the Dinosaur for being a supreme character to open Dinosaur
Hunter. What a great way to start the exhibition!

Many thanks once again, and I do hope that we can work together further in the
future.

Best wishes,

Angela Handforth

Dear Dinosaurs Rock NZ

Just a special thank you from Jack who recently attended Dinosaurs Rock NZ.  This was a great event organized by Cloud 9 in the Hutt.  Jack is 7 years old and Autistic and had a great time.  He especially enjoyed searching for real fossils to keep and making his very own fossil cast.  It was a great holiday activity so professionally done.  Jack would love to try it again some time soon.  I have attached a photo of him having fun.
Thanks so much
Gaylene Rowland

Dear Dinosaurs Rock,

My teenage son Michael attended the dinosaur day recently at the Cloud 9 Foundation holiday activities. As you probably noticed paleontology, especially vertebrate paleontology, is of great interest to him and he has a great knowledge on this subject. He came home extremely impressed with your program, especially the casts and fossils you brought to show, and full of excitement for your future plans. It is not often in New Zealand that you meet up with others so involved with fossils on a professional basis. I would like to thank you for such a great day for him and we would both be interested in hearing if there are other activities that you are doing that Michael could be involved in.

Regards
Anna Sisley
